Edinburgh Here We Come! Maybe...

Since it was our first meal in the UK I figured why not go traditional, so we wandered around for close to 900 years, or a least it felt like that anyway before we settled down to grab dinner. Mom and I both went for fish and chips, though I'm pretty sure she was expecting Long John Silvers because when she saw my food...

she was all "ooh what did you get?" Uhm, same thing as you. After dinner we hopped back on the train and headed back over to Euston station to wait for the Caledonian Sleeper which is the overnight train to Scotland. We got there way too early because after waiting a few hours it was only this o'clock...

And for those of you who can't read military time, basically it wasn't time to get on the train. We have now been up for about two days and it's starting to show...

But we did pass the time by eating Sausage rolls and Cornish pasties, mmm. Eventually it was train o'clock so we got on board and went to find our "spacious sleeping quarters"...

Uhh...

And to make matters worse, I had to share mine with some random dude. Thankfully he was pretty chill, he spent have the time in the booze car, which was fine with me because I needed to spend the whole time unconscious.

In the morning we were woken up oh so subtly by the porter banging on our door with a cup of tea. It was nice, I was grateful, can't you tell...

Once we got off the train aka kicked off the train we froze our butts off and hopped in a taxi, of course this driver had no idea where he was going and I don't think my parents thought he was speaking English, but he was. Eventually we found the hotel, down an alley, and we're told that e couldn't check in until the afternoon...7 hours from now, Blam.

So we are off to climb Holyrood Hill to get to Arthur's Seat...

That's the ginormous mountain like thing behind us...

What could go wrong?
