The End...Whomp Whomp

So it's the last night of the trip and I booked a special dinner.  Figure why not go out with a bang...
I booked us on a dinner cruise down the Thames...
I did it last summer and it was pretty awesome...
Plus it gives you some time to reminisce about the trip...
Which is always great to do at the end of an amazing trip...
Oh and did I mention that it comes with booze!
And it took Mom about 3 sips before she started getting a little emotional...
And I'm not gonna lie we all got a little emotional, it's been a pretty fantastic couple of weeks...
Look kids Big Ben...
Parliament...
I can't tell you how much it's meant to me to have my parents on this trip with Brad and I...
To be able to be a part of their first experience in Europe is amazing...
And once I said that, Mom cried again...
She might need some more tissues...
Oh and I splurged for this last dinner and got the full 5 course meal...
Which consisted of 5 courses of YUM!
And then as the sun started to set...
We drank some more wine and then headed out onto the deck to watch the sunset
And there really is nothing more beautiful...
Then floating down the Thames at dusk...
It's sad that the trip is almost over...
But we will always have these memories to share...
It just makes me appreciate the life that I have...
And the family that raised me...
Okay, enough of the mushiness.  We are off to head home tomorrow...
Hopefully you have enjoyed reading the blog as much as we have enjoyed experiencing it...
Cheers!

All's Well That Ends Well

Today is our last day in London, boo! We slept in a little bit, since we were just going to be walking around...
We started by walking through St. James Park...
Which is a beautiful park with a lake on the way to Buckingham Palace...
I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little mopey today...
I always get sad when I leave London, but how can you be all frown-y on such a perfect day...
Despite the first few days of gloom...
The weather has been pretty amazing for most of the trip...
I think my Mom and Dad are getting used to being in the UK...
Once we got to the end of the Mall, which is the walkway to the Palace...
We checked out the Changing of the Guards...
Which is pretty cool to see if you've never seen it before...
They pretty much just block all the traffic for some pomp and circumstance...
After that we headed on over to Hyde Park, which is one of my favorite places in London...
 It's a gorgeous park...
And on a day like today everyone comes out to enjoy the sunshine...
Beautiful flowers are all over the park...
And then there is this upside down tree...
I have no idea what kind of tree it is...
But you can walk inside which was pretty cool...
Once we returned from Wonderland, we headed over to the Serpentine to have lunch...
It's starting to hit me that this whole trip is almost over...
It's just been such a great trip and I'm glad that everything has gone pretty smoothly...
After lunch in Hyde Park, we headed over to Harrod's so Mom could check it out...
I'm not gonna lie, Harrod's FREAKS ME OUT!! There are sooo many people...
This is the Egyptian Escalator that runs through the center of the store...
and like Mother like Son, Mom lasted about 20 minutes before she was over it.  We were there just long enough for her to get some souvenirs...
Now we are heading back to the hotel to get ready...
I booked us a dinner cruise down the Thames on a glass boat...
I went on it last summer and it's pretty amazing...
What better way to end the trip that having an amazing meal and watching the sun set on the Thames.  Cheers!
