You're an Irish Tart!

Waking up today, Mom having survived Hooligan Alley aka Temple Bar, she was ready to take things a little beat easier today...

So we headed off to St. Stephen's Green which is a park that James Joyce wrote about in Ulysses (and before you think I am smart, I've never read it, it said so on the map)...

It was still pretty cold outside, but at least the sun was out...

The park and pretty much all of Dublin was quiet. Mom said that all the hooligans were sleeping it off...

So we just walked around the park...

And enjoyed all the beauty there was to see...

Like these two...

These Tarty Hooliganettes had clearly not slept since last night's shenanigans. But they did leave a trail of laughter behind them as they stumbled down the street...

And speaking of interesting sights, Dublin has some interesting advertisements and store names...

You too can get a crap-y suit for only €199!

I wonder what they sell here?

And then there was this guy...

Look Ma no hands!

After seeing the "sights" we found this statue outside Trinity College...

It's hard to tell but that's us...

At least it's better than the grave robbing Burkes of Edinburgh, this one at least went to college.

Then Brad started noticing all the Gaeilc writing on the signs. So of course he started repeating it on a loop for about five blocks like a parrot!

Polly want a punch in the face!?!

Then we walked down the river Liffey, avoiding Hoooligan Alley at all costs as we headed on over to the Guinness Storehouse...

You walk around and read all about how beer is made, with rare ingredients like water...

Basically it's a lot of stuff to look at so you don't get too irritated when you realize that the "free pint" you get in the Gravity Bar actually cost you €15.

Before we made it to the Gravity Bar we stopped and had lunch in the Guinness restaurant...

Mom got a pint, and to quote the waitress "here is the baby beer for you sir"

Soup and salad eh eh eh...

Then we hopped up to the Gravity Bar for our "free" aka €15 pint...

But then it started getting Holliganesque, so we high tailed it out of there...

Now we are off to the hotel to chill for a bit before heading out to a dinner show!
